Advocacy, Safety & Recovery

We are advocates for women who have experienced or are at risk of intimate partner and sexual violence. We are a trauma-informed, strength-based domestic, family, and sexual violence service committed to supporting victim-survivors through advocacy, safety, and recovery.

We uphold the rights, dignity, autonomy, and voices of victim-survivors while assisting women to navigate complex systems, services, and pathways to safety and recovery.

Our Approach

We recognise the strength, resilience, and lived expertise of all victim-survivors and acknowledge the profound impact violence can have on individuals, families, and communities.

We understand the importance of being heard, believed, and supported by professionals with specialist knowledge and expertise in domestic, family, and sexual violence.

Advocates For Her offers an integrated and collaborative advocacy approach, working alongside women to navigate safety planning, justice processes, and connections to therapeutic, legal, housing, financial, and specialist support services.

Our approach strengthens knowledge sharing, promotes informed decision-making, and enhances safety, wellbeing, and recovery outcomes for victim-survivors.

We work collaboratively with community, government agencies, and specialist services to support coordinated, person-centred responses.

Our goal is to reduce barriers, strengthen access to support, and advocate for safer, more responsive, and accountable systems for victim-survivors.

We believe collaboration, integration, and survivor-centred practice are essential to effectively responding to domestic, family, and sexual violence and to creating pathways toward safety, justice, healing and recovery.

We pay our respects to the Ancestors of this Land, their Spirits & Legacy. We honour their guidance, inspiration, and enduring hope. We respect all Elders Past, Present and Emerging. We acknowledge this is, was, and always will be Aboriginal Land.
